PT Engineering (as a subconsultant to Wetherill Engineering, Inc.) developed a traffic simulation analysis for U‐6081; NC 53 (Western Boulevard) widening from US 17 (Marine Boulevard) to SR 1308 (Gum Branch Road) in Onslow County. The purpose of this analysis was to analyze the traffic operations for the proposed corridor widening and implementation of the modified superstreet design. The study included the analysis of the 2018 and 2040 Scenarios for both the No‐Build and Build scenarios. The analysis utilized microscopic simulation of each of the scenarios in TransModeler, including the development of a visually validated base year model.
